Capturing the Kootenays

Ashley Voykin is a landscape and outdoor adventure photographer based in the Kootenay Rockies region of BC.

Her extensive portfolio of the Kootenay region was built on a passion for the small towns, and big mountains that she calls home.

Whether it is photographing backcountry landscapes, wildfires at night, action sports, or commercial work, she strives to create imagery with an appreciation for nature at its core.

Ashley's client list includes businesses such as Destination British Columbia, Kootenay Rockies Tourism, Tourism Rossland, Red Mountain Resort, Panorama Mountain Resort, among others.

Her work has been published within the pages of SKI Magazine, Kootenay Mountain Culture, Powder Magazine, National Geographic's “100 Slopes of a Lifetime”, SBC Skier, Paddling Magazine, and more.

Year round she can be found exploring the roads and trails of Southeastern British Columbia, searching for fresh takes on the stunning locations that define the Canadian wilderness.

She currently calls Rossland BC home.
